Merry and Bright

I love the Christmas season. Gift giving, lots of yummy food, time with friends and family, memories and remembering the birth of our Savior are some of the many things that I love about this season. This season started off with several work and family parties which were so much fun, which lead us into so many other fun activities. We took Macy to see Santa at the mall and actually liked him. She tried to pull at his beard a few times but other than that was great.

Last weekend my Mom took us to see Savior of the World and to eat at Benihana’s. The play was wonderful (have seen it several times and still go every year) and the food was great. Thanks to Ana and Jeanette for watching Macy!!

Christmas Eve we headed up to Wes’ grandma’s for soup and a great time. We had so much fun watching all the kids open their presents, especially Macy. She loved the wrapping and actually was somewhat interested in her presents. We then went to Wes’ sister’s house where we opened our new Christmas pj’s. We sure do love this tradition of Christmas.
The next morning we awoke to find that Santa had come and treated us so well. I got an i-touch and Wes got a Mac Book Pro. We both bought each other new tennis shoes and a few clothes. I wish I had the camera out when Wes saw what he got. It was worth a million bucks! Macy got a music play thing that she sits at, a few other little toys, clothes and lots of books. She was so excited that morning. It was so fun to have a little girl at Christmas.

We then went to Wes’ parent’s house to open presents with the rest of the family. It was again so fun to watch all the little ones open their presents. Thanks to everyone for all we were given.
That night we braved the storm and went to my Mom’s house to talk to Brad in Australia. He is doing great and we are so grateful that he is serving the Lord. It was fun to try and get Macy to talk to him, which of course she would not do until he started to bear his testimony and needed to be quite. She is so funny. My mom bought Macy a Cabbage Patch Doll that has the same birthday as Macy does. Crazy that she found one with that date.

We are so grateful for this holiday season and time we have to reflect on Christ and all he does for us. We hope everyone else had as great of a Christmas as we did!
